Warm up your winter mornings with this tropical inspired Pineapple Coffee Cake with Raspberry Glaze. Moist cake full of pineapple, topped with crunchy cinnamon sugar streusal. A tart fresh raspberry glaze gives it a burst of berry flavor.
I don’t want to jinx things, but Oliver my four year old has been quite well behaved lately. It’s almost suspicious. I’m guessing it has something to do with the “rainbow” chart at his preschool. If you make good decisions (not biting or scratching. What are they, cats?) your name will get moved to the color blue or purple. You don’t want red. Red is bad. If you stay in the “good zone”, at the end of the week you get a treat. Kids have it so good don’t they? At what other time in your life do you get rewarded for not biting someone or using potty words. And they get treats! Treats people. For being good little humans.
Apple spice cake with Biscoff Cookie Butter mixed right into the batter then swirled with cinnamon and nutmeg spiced cheesecake. Cinnamon whipped cream with chopped walnuts and Biscoff Cookies finish this Biscoff Apple Spice Cake Cheesecake.
I’ve known about Biscoff Cookie Butter for a long time. I think I knew about it the moment I could finally chew solids. Even then I liked to stay informed on all things sweet and diabetic coma worthy. Those things are important! I just never baked with it until I started this blog.
I don’t know about you but at our house we try to start our Christmas morning early. That means mommy needs to get up pretty darn early to get breakfast and coffee going for the family. This year I slept in. How? By making breakfast the night before. Amazing. So easy. And stinking delicious. I got the recipe for this Baked Cinnamon French Toast off Pinterest. Thank the Lord for Pinterest. The recipe calls for challah bread, which I used, but any bread will work. Next time I’m totally getting the challah with raisins. The recipe is from Lovin’ From The Oven.
Christmas was a hit at our house. Oliver was super happy with his toys, Jovi was ecstatic about wrapping paper, my husband received lots of Star Wars goodies, and I got a really awesome food processor. I was in desperate need of a larger model. The one I currently was using only allowed for 3 cups at a time so I was always having to blend everything in batches. Not fun. And very messy. I’m so excited to try some new recipes and now that Florida will finally get some cold weather I really want to tackle some soups I’ve been eyeing Pinterest. Or make massive amounts of cookie dough. Cookie dough sounds good.
