Classic red velvet cupcakes smothered in decadent and rich Nutella buttercream frosting with a sprinkle of chopped milk chocolate and drizzle of dark chocolate. Chocolate and red velvet are the perfect match in these Nutella Red Velvet Cupcakes.
Quick, what do you always think of when someone says Red Velvet? Cream cheese frosting, right? BORING…Let’s break this mundane cycle people. I’m here to show you that red velvet’s partner in crime doesn’t always have to be cream cheese. I mean, just look at how insane these are! And just to make sure you get the idea, I used three kinds of chocolate in this cupcake. Three!
First is the creamy and smooth Nutella buttercream frosting which is absolute perfection. Then I topped them with a little chopped milk chocolate. I used Cadbury. The mother of all milk chocolate. (Thank you Great Britain…) And then to shake things up a bit, I drizzled some melted dark chocolate on top. Seriously, these Nutella Red Velvet Cupcakes will make you wonder why you always settled for boring old cream cheese frosting.
Single serving dark chocolate fudgy brownies baked into a buttery graham cracker crust and then drenched in salted caramel. The sweet banana slices on top finish these Miniature Banoffee Brownies.
Raise your hand if your’e a lazy baker. Anyone? I can’t be the only one, right? It sounds silly but sometimes I feel mixing brownie batter can be a little too labor intensive. Even the one bowl kind without melting chocolate. After reading that back to myself, I just realized I’m a lame-o. It’s time to amp things up with these Miniature Banoffee Brownies. But not too much amping people. I’m lazy remember?
Rich dark chocolate and Oreo cookies married with a soft and fluffy muffin. Make your mornings sweet with these Oreo Double Chocolate Chip Muffins.
You know what I love about muffins? Muffins are extra large cupcakes that can be eaten for breakfast. AND they come with no judgement. If its eaten between the hours of 6 and 11 in the morning, extra large, and void of frosting…no one cares. No one gives dirty looks. It’s breakfast. Chocolate chips and all. I once saw a red velvet smore’s muffin at a local coffee shop. That my friends is my kind of breakfast. #breakfastgoals
These muffins bake up super fluffy and soft with just the right amount of crunch from the Oreos. Not to mention, they are insanely easy and quick to make, so don’t you worry. You’ll be stuffing your face in no time. It’s okay though. It’s breakfast remember? First meal of the day, so make it count!
Soft and fluffy spiced apple cupcakes topped with brown sugar buttercream and tart apple pie filling. It’s America’s favorite pie turned into perfect holiday cupcakes.
Today the weather in Dubai has finally hit the perfect temperature! It has been so beautiful lately and taking a walk doesn’t render you useless for the rest of the day. I usually feel like I need a 3 hour nap after a stroll due to the heat. Not anymore! Oh, and the breeze doesn’t feel like a hot blow dryer. We don’t get those gorgeous red and orange Fall leaves, but we get perfect beach weather. I think that’s a good trade.

It’s amazing how life can change so drastically in such a short amount of time. In April we were doing our Florida family thing…kiddie pools in the backyard, Disney on the weekends, and flip flops everyday. I never ever would have thought our family would be moving to the Middle East. Especially within a few weeks of my husband getting a job offer. We sold everything in two weeks, put the house up for rent, and started our new chapter. With all the excitement also came all the fears. Are the kids going to do well in a foreign school? Will I get bit by a deadly snake? Will the sandstorms be just like Mission Impossible? You know, perfectly reasonable questions for moving a family to the desert.
Frightening molasses cookie Graboids with yummy fondant tentacles jumping out of Biscoff cookie sand. Easily turn simple vanilla cupcakes into Tremors Cupcakes and relive your favorite 90’s campy monster movie this Halloween!
This is Yummy Crumble’s second Halloween under it’s belt and it’s definitely my favorite time of the year to bake. At what other time is it okay to make edible intestines and chewy eyeballs? Last year the rage was all about Monster Strawberry Cupcakes and Star Wars Sarlacc Bundt Cakes. This year, I’m breaking out my favorite monster movie, Tremors for inspiration. In my opinion, it’s some of the best work done by Kevin Bacon. Just watch this —-> Can you fly, you sucker? Who doesn’t love Kevin Bacon? This ones for you Kevin.
Super scary and cute miniature Sarlaccs jumping out of vanilla cupcakes. These Star Wars Sarlacc Cupcakes are perfect for your next creepy Halloween party!
There are many benefits to living in Dubai. First, all the crazy things you see on a weekly basis. That buzzfeed list, is not in any way an exaggeration. The food. Oh my goodness the food! Also the movie theaters are amazing here. They even have a luxury VIP section that is out of this world. Movies will never be the same for me when I go back home. Speaking of movies…The movie set of Star Wars the Force Awakens is basically an hour and half drive away. How cool is that? I know what our family is going to be doing next weekend. Driving the dunes of Abu Dhabi searching for droids, Jawas, and the Millennium Falcon.
It is definitely not a secret how geeky our family is and baking geeky desserts is one of my favorite things to make for the blog. One of my most popular posts was my Star Wars Sarlacc Bundt Cake. So since Halloween is just around the corner, I put together these Star Wars Sarlacc Cupcakes. They were incredibly easy to decorate and perfectly adorable for your next Halloween or Star Wars themed party.
Sweet honey cornbread cupcakes turned into the best shortcakes you will ever have. Triple sugared berries piled high with fluffy clouds of home made whipped cream. Summer was always meant to be this sweet
Now for my new summer favorite. These Sweet Cornbread Triple Berry Shortcakes are the perfect excuse to raid your fridge for berries. The shortcakes are dripping with tons of juicy tart berries but don’t forget the star of this dessert. It’s the moist sweet honey cornbread that will have you coming back for more. I played with the idea of cornbread as strictly a dessert when I made Blueberry Cornbread Cupcakes. They were devoured by everyone within a three foot radius.
Vanilla bean cupcakes swirled with tart raspberry puree then topped with a luscious rose water infused raspberry frosting, and sprinkled with chopped pistachios. Take your taste buds on an exotic vacation with these Raspberry Rose Water Cupcakes!
Living in Dubai has some perks. For one, I can have anything I want delivered to my house for free or for only 5 dirhams (1.35 USD!). I usually grocery shop online, because they deliver my groceries to my doorstep for free. It’s magical. Oh, and did I mention that the Ikea here will deliver and assemble your furniture too. For free. America needs to take some notes.
One of the things I love about living in Dubai is all the variety of exotic foods and ingredients I have access to. I have found everything from rose and cardamon flavored camel milk to crazy looking Southeast Asian fruits like the Rambutan. Every grocery store also has a nice supply of beautiful orange blossom and rose waters, something I always found a little difficult to get back home. I totally took advantage of the rose water for these Raspberry Rose Water Cupcakes.
